1. What window cleaning method do you use?

We primarily use the Waterfed Pole (WFP) system, which cleans your windows and frames from the ground using purified, de-ionised water. This method provides a superior, streak-free finish and eliminates the need for ladders in most situations, improving safety and privacy.

 

2. Why do you use pure water?

We use purified water that has had all minerals and impurities removed. Unlike tap water, this pure water dries naturally on the glass without leaving behind any streaks, spots, or residue, ensuring a crystal-clear finish.

3. Do you clean the window frames and sills as well as the glass?

Yes, our standard Waterfed Pole clean includes the window glass, frames, and sills every time.

 

4. Will my windows be left wet?

Yes, the windows are left wet and are designed to dry naturally to a spotless finish. Please do not attempt to dry them yourself, as this can leave smears.

 

Payments and Billing

5. How do I pay for my window cleaning?

We use the GoCardless system for all our recurring payments. This is an automated Direct Debit system that is safe, secure, and hassle-free.

 

6. How does the GoCardless payment system work?

Once you set up a Direct Debit with us (it only takes a minute online), the payment is automatically collected after your clean has been completed. Unlike a regular monthly Direct Debit, funds are only requested when we have done the work. You will receive an email notification before the money is taken, typically a few days after the clean.

 

7. Is GoCardless safe and secure?

Yes. GoCardless is the UK's leading Direct Debit provider and adheres to strict security protocols. Your payments are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee, giving you peace of mind that you are covered for any payment taken in error.

 

8. Do I have to sign up for GoCardless?

Yes, to keep our costs down and our service reliable, GoCardless is our standard payment method for regular customers.

Scheduling and Access

9. Do I need to be home when you clean my windows?

No, you do not need to be home. As we primarily use the Waterfed Pole system, we can clean all external windows with our feet safely on the ground. We only ask that you ensure we have easy access to the back of the property (e.g., that gates are unlocked).

 

10. How will I know when you are coming?

We send a reminder text message to you the day before your scheduled clean.

 

11. What if I forget to leave the gate unlocked?

If we cannot gain access to the back of your property, we will clean the front and accessible side windows only and charge accordingly. Please ensure all gates are unlocked on the day of the clean.

Adverse Weather

​

12. Do you clean in the rain?

Yes, we clean in most weather conditions, including rain. Rainwater is very similar to the purified water we use, and it does not affect the quality of our Waterfed Pole clean.

13. When will you not clean my windows?

We will postpone a clean in the event of extreme weather for safety and quality reasons. This includes:

• Temperatures dipping below -2°C (due to water freezing on glass and equipment).

• Thunderstorms or high winds.

• Heavy snow or extreme hailstones.

If we have to cancel due to weather, we will notify you and reschedule your clean as soon as possible.
